The Best Teacher I Have Ever Met

Hakyung Chin

We meet a lot of teachers in our life. Some are good and some are bad. I have one particular teacher whom I really liked. She is Ms.Kim Su Hyun, my homeroom teacher when I was in 6th grade. Ms. Kim was not just young and pretty but also innovative and funny. She did not teach us just following the text book. We did a lot of interesting and educational activities. For example, Ms.Kim divided us into groups of six or seven and made us do group projects such as reading a book together then making it into a play. We also made songs or video clips related to a historical figure or a historical event. In addition, she taught us songs that have special meanings like family, friendship, life and so on. We used to learn and sing them together after school. She taught us school study well and helped us learn other things like teamwork, creativity and volunteering too. I am really happy that I met her.

  1. Hi, I think your writing has very specific details of your homeroom teacher. I see lots of examples what Ms. Kim did in class and I could feel that those experiences actually inspired you a lot. Although, I feel like somehow your writing is finished too quickly, it seems the conclusion parts needs more sentences. Giving specific explanations was good however I think the whole paragraph seems little short. Thanks

  2. Hi.I'm Oh You Jeong
What I liked about your writing is that it's simple but well describing. Especially, I was surprised that you described your teacher in a simple but strong sentence, "Ms. Kim was not just young and pretty but also innovative and funny". This one sentence struck me hard. However, I guess your writing is missing a few points such as quotations. Also, it would be much better if you add more specific examples.

Our job was to classify and take care of the homeroom books and we made monthly homeroom newspapers. Also, Ms.Kim made us do other activities such as reading a book together then making it into a play. We also made songs or video clips related to a historical figure or a historical event. In addition, she taught us songs that have special meanings like family, friendship, life and so on. She always told us: "It's okay if you are not successfull, but you have to learn how to sing." We used to learn and sing them together after school. She taught us learn other things like teamwork, creativity and volunteering too. I am really happy that I met her.
