When Choosing a Gift
For many kinds of events, people face situations when they have to get a present for someone special. For most of the time, choosing a gift for someone else is very difficult. However, choosing a gift is not so hard if you remeber just couple of things. First, to choose the right gift for the person who is going to get it, you should know their taste, even vaguely. You should not directly ask the person what they like and dislike. You can simply obeserve that person for few days. After observation, you will naturally find out what they are interested in. For exemple, if they talk about singers and songs a lot and listen to music everyday, it is not that hard to find out that they are interested in such things. After that, you find out some specific details. In this process, you can observe or ask that person. For instance, by if that person listens to rock music most of the time, you can easily guess that he/she likes rock bands. It is better not to ask directly but just find out on your own because in that way, that person will be touched even more by the fact that you cared and knew about them so well. Finally, as you know what they are interested in, you can buy a present that they would like. In fact, for my boyfriend's birthday, I wanted to get him something that he would really like. As I alrerady knew he likes shoes, I only had to find out the details. So couple of weeks before his birthday, I talked about shoes on purpose. Then he told me about shoes that he wants badly but could not get because it was limited edition. I just pretended that I did not care that much and nodded. For few weeks, I searched for that shoes everywhere and finally got it. As soon as he open the present box, he was happily suprised and thanked me. I was also happy that the gift was satisfying. Likewise, it might take some time or effort to find out what that person really wants for a gift. However, when they finally get the present and give a big smile, you will also be happy and that is the true meaning of giving gifts. Thus, when you are choosing a gift for someone special, don't ask but observe and let them know that you care about about them that much by giving the gift that they wanted!
