The way how to play other band's music

I'm a vocalist and guitarist in my band. We practice once a week for the concert each semester. To perform the concert, we have to play the music that we want to play. But because there are not enough scores of songs, we have to play music by the ear. So, let me introduce you how to play music by the ear, without a score of the song. The first step is easy. Just listen to the music. But you should not just listen to the music. You have to think about and guess what the code is in this and that part of the song. And then, get the guitar or any other intruments you play, and try playing codes what you guessed. If you play it right, then you're finished. But this case rarely happens. Nomarlly, you shuld take the next step. When codes are wrong, it means that you can't play it only by listening and guessing. You need help. You can get help by Youtube. There are a lot of videos of cover of the song. You can find it easily by searching. For example, if you want to play'Ashtray heart' by Placebo, search for "Ashtray heart cover","the cover of Ashtray heart" or "Ashtry heart tutorial". Then lots of results comes out. And then watch that video. They record the video making their hands look clearly. So we can easily get the codes of the song we want to play. In conclusion, by following these steps, you can get the codes of song whatever you want to play.

The most interesting part in your writing was "You need help. You can get help by Youtube," as I didn't know that you band members get help from youtube. It was interesting. However, if you exactly wrote the order ranks with "second" or "third," rather than "next" it would be more clear. I was little bit confused. But overall, your writing was good:)

ReplyDeleteI like your paragraph because I also play the guitar in my club and I also have the experience of catching chords just by the ear. You made this stressful process look really simple. haha
I think it will be better to include more procedures such as practicing and performing too. Or maybe change the title, I think your paragraph doesn't cover the title that much.
