How to get a driver's license

Last winter, I got my driver's license. As the test was simplified and I reached the minimum age of obtaining driver's license, I immediately started learning driving. If you still do not have a driver' license, do not hesitate! I was really nervous and afraid of driving but I finally got it, although it took me about 2 months. All you need to do is follow these simple steps and challenge!

First, you need to take traffic safety education. You can reserve the time and day at the online web site(http://dl.koroad.or.kr/). You will watch the video about traffic safety that we must know, and it takes about one hour. Next, you have to get a physical checkup. It does not examine all of your body seriously except your eye sight, because eye sight is very significant factor that affects driving. Then, take written test. It is computer based test and you can take it any time after you submit the application. You don't have to study it thoroughly but still you must memorize some important traffic signs. If you're score is higher than or same as 70, you got through it. After that, finally you are allowed to get in the car to take function test. If last 3 steps were preparation stage to drive the car, now it is driving simulation stage. You will be tested by computer scoring machine, mainly about driving device control. Such as turning on/off headlights and direction signals, operating a windshield wiper, shifting gears, and coping with emergency situation by slamming on brakes. Unless you make big mistakes, your score will easily reach higher than 80 then you're finally arrived at the last stage. The last step is real road driving test which is most important and difficult. There are 3 driving courses and you will be randomly assigned to one course. Unlike the other stages, you must practice many times. As it is real situation, safety is the top priority. I recommend you to practice with your parents or enroll private driving school. It will be really helpful.

Following those simple 5 steps, you have a legal right to drive. If you don't have any plan for this summer vacation, how about getting driver's license? It would be absolutely worthwhile!

  1. Hi, I enjoyed reading your writing. I think your topic is quire pratical since lots of university students are thinking about getting a driver's license. The way you divided your writing into three paragraphs was well organized. However, your writing would improve by fixing some grammar mistakes. Other than that, I think it's very well written writing!

Hi:D it was really interesting to read because i also got my license last summer vacation. Since I experienced lastly and already knew all the processes you described, I felt that you organized very clearly. I also like that you separated paragraphs into three part clearly. But i think it would be better if you describe a little bit more about why the real road driving test is important and difficult.

Because our final goal is to drive in the real road and since road situation changes every time, it requires much courage and skills to cope with various situations. There are 3 driving courses and you will be randomly assigned to one course. Unlike the other stages, you must practice many times. Also as it is real situation, safety is the top priority. I highly recommend you to practice with your parents or enroll private driving school. It will be really helpful.
