Park Tae Jun / A way to travel that interests you / Mon34

The most interesting travel that I've experienced is 15-day free trip in Europe when I was in middle school. The free trip means before departure, people only reserve hotels and flight ticket. Upon arrival, there's no guide but people make their own schedule to travel around the Europe. The best thing about the free trip is that people may go wherever they want to, because there's no concrete schedule to follow. I and my friend only reserved for hotels and flight ticket before departure, and made our own schedule to visit five countries-UK, France, Italy, Swiss and Germany-on our own. Since there's no guide with us, we couldn't hear specific explanations about places, but we depended on the guide book. There were some incidents during the trip. Moving from Italy to Germany by a night train, we didn't know how to reserve a seat. Eventually we ended up sleeping on the walkway of the train for eight hours. It was horribly cold and worried about pickpockets, so after arrival we couldn't do anything but to delight. Also, since we went to restaurants that were not on the book-to truly experience what natives eat-, we had a hard time understanding menu because they didn't have an English menu available. With not much money available, sometimes we went to grocery stores to grab a sandwich or snacks for lunch. Although my free trip of Europe sounds tough, those hard times made the trip very special and unforgettable memory to me.

  1. HI I'm Oh You Jeong
I really loved reading your writing because your trip just seems so fun. I also have thought about going abroad with friends on our own. I liked the fact you had no guides, nothing that could help you. It sounds fun. Especially,'we ended up sleeping on the walkway of the train for eight hours' struck me hard because it explains that some parts could be hard for you touring with no guide. One thing, it would be much better if you had a little more decriptive adjectives

When I opened the wooden window in the morning, I could see the top of the Alps covered with snow, red and yellow tulips planted in the garden and mild morning sunshine that gave me warmth. Although my free trip of Europe sounds tough, those hard times made the trip very special and unforgettable memory to me.
